Developed by Adobe, Brackets heavily relies on the renowned CodeMirror editor and the new HTML 5 File API.
Just like CodeMirror, Brackets provides a way to edit raw source code right inside your browser.
Brackets works with various file types, from the aforementioned HTML, CSS and JavaScript, up to various variants like LESS and SCSS.
Add to this simple functionality code debugging, code hinting, syntax highlighting, i18n support and an uncluttered user interface and you have yourself a top of the line code editor that can stand up to similar desktop-based software.
Besides this Web-based version which you can deploy wherever you want, installers for Windows and Mac OS are also available.
