Rocket Page Flip is nothing more than a classic image slider that uses book page flip effects to rotate between images instead of more simple transitions like fade, slide, switch, etc..
The page flip effect is run using CSS3 3D transformations in browsers that support it, but in case your users might be using an older, deprecated browser that doesn't support these new additions to the CSS standard, the plugin gracefully degrades but still keeps slideshow functionality.
Rocket Page Flip uses jQuery for the carousel functionality, and features classic features like the next/previous buttons, a dotted pagination system, and the option to set the starting slideshow page.
The slider can be show at any dimension, and can also be forced to cover the entire area of the page, for a truly fullscreen image gallery.
Demos for both cases are included with the download package.
While these kind of image albums where a constant presence in the Flash market, few have been ported to JS&CSS, and even fewer actually work at a high enough level to be used in production environments.
Rocket Page Flip delivers all the features you might expect from such a tool, and its ability to gracefully degrade in older browsers ensures this plugin can safely be used on live, enterprise-level projects.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- jQuery
- CSS 3 enabled browser
