Deus Ex was designed with the player in mind. Completely explore and effect your environment, from the cigarettes and beer on the ground to computers and weapons of your opponents. Traverse the globe to real world locations from Washington to New York, Paris, Tokyo, the Taj Mahal, Area 51, New Orleans and even Hong Kong. Determine your skills and the type of game you want to play. Make decisions on items and conversations that will determine your character's personality and how the story will unfold.
Lead designer Warren Specter of Ion Storm is making sure that this is one of his best projects to date. Deus Ex is scheduled to be released for the Mac in late June, early July. Westlake Interactive will be working on optimizing this huge game so it runs flawlessly on Macs that meet minimum requirements. Currently, the game is single-player only. Tentatively, multiplayer capability will be released as an update or a sequel. Although minimum system requirements are not yet set, it will require hardware acceleration and at least a G3/G4 processor.
What is new in this release:
This update fixes a few minor problems (some memory leaks, problems saving under OS 8.1) and adds a few new options (ability to turn off ambient voices, ability to select refresh rates in RAVE).
