Crabgrass

Crabgrass is a software libre web application designed for social networking, network organizing and group collaboration. Our goal is to create communication tools that are tailored specifically to meet the needs of bottom up grassroots organizing.

The internet may herald a deep change in democratic communication, but the internet is simultaneously the most effective tool for mass surveillance ever devised. Crabgrass is a secure alternative to for profit social networking and organizing platforms.

What is new in this release:

• This is a small release with some important fixes. An XSS issue in the chat has been fixed.
• Please upgrade as soon as possible.
• It has a new way to see user and group activity statistics, the ability to have group wikis open or closed by default, the ability for site admins to disable the profile invisibility option, an updated media player, and autocomplete drop downs for location filtering in directories and for adding geo-locations to your group profile.

What is new in version 0.5.3.1:

• It contains an important fix to the WYSIWYG editor.
• It also introduces the ability to disable notifications from all other users, including friends.
• It fixes a few small bugs in the superadmin view of user lists.

What is new in version 0.5.3:

• The big change is the ability to edit wiki pages using a WYSIWYG interface.
• It has been developed so that Word documents and Excel spreadsheets can be copied and pasted directly into the wiki.
• With the superadmin module activated, this release has some feature improvements and bugfixes, site admins have some new configuration options to play with for email notifications, and some bugs have been fixed.
• The speed of the initial loading of the site home has been improved.

What is new in version 0.4.6:

• Crabgrass 0.4.6.1 was released to fix a bug in 0.4.6 that caused lots of extra newline/white space to be created between sections of wiki text. This only affects users of 0.4.6, so if you are running 0.4.6, you should grab 0.4.6.1 and upgrade.
