Reduce your printing expenses by setting quotas for printing. The ideal print monitoring solution for business usage. The Print Logger 5 software is intended for print management (print monitor and audit printing activity) of printers on print servers, based on Windows NT operation systems family. At this time this family includes Windows 2000 and Windows 2003. The program inspects the print jobs on a computer, where software is installed. Main assignment of the program - collection of the information about sizes (in pages) of local print jobs and records it to the database for subsequent analysis or creation of reports about printing activity. As enterprise level software, print monitor allows you remote access to the statistics using client software or any web browser. The administrator can set access rights for the remote clients to the information about print jobs. Access rights can be defined based on a login name, user's group membership or on the IP address of the computer that has requested the information. As client components using TCP/IP protocol as a transport, information can be accessed using a local area network, wireless network or any IP-based network including Internet. The program can also inspect the sizes of print jobs based on defined quotas and prohibit printing, if the quotas are exceeded (cost recovery and audit print). Quotas for printing is a very powerful and effective mechanism for cost management of printing in your organization. Limiting printing activities for some employees, you can really save on paper, toner for printers (especially for color printing), expenses for repair and service for printers.
