Dominus is an open source strategy game that does not take a lot of your daily time, uses simple design concepts, and comes with lots of user options and features.
The purpose of the game is to conquest other players' castles, make them your vassals and take part of their hourly and daily income.
The player that conquests all castles in the game is considered the winner.
Resources are gathered every hour and they can be spent on buying an army.
Each player has its own army, gains resources from tiles surrounding his castle, and can use his army to expand his empire by attacking other players.
The game engine is known for handling hundreds and thousands of people playing at the same time and is the same technology that powers the dominusgame.net original server.
As with the original game, besides the game engine, there are also other features included, features like user profiles, a notifications center, a resource marketplace, a players forum, a real-time chat, player rankings, and even a perks store.
If you'd like to run your own version of the game, make various modifications or just run an in-house server just for your employees and friends, installation instructions are provided with the package's README file.
