FilePathCM is a contextual menu, menu bar item and service for copying the:

  • POSIX path
  • URL encoded POSIX path
  • Server afp URL
  • Abbreviated (Tilde) POSIX path
  • POSIX path for Terminal
  • HFS path
  • Full name
  • Display name
  • Extension
  • Windows style path
  • POSIX paths of root folder and all subfolders combined

of files and folders to the clipboard. Menu items can be symbolic names or show the actual clipboard contents to be pasted.

It can also be used for creating URLs from file paths, such as AFP type URLs. This is achieved using "prefixes" which are simply prepended to a URL encoded version of a POSIX path.

FilePathCM is part of the Limit Point Software Utilities Bundle : http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html. Purchase a Utilities password to activate all the utilities, including FilePathCM. Upgrades are free, new utilities are included.

FilePathCM initially runs for about ten days without a permanent password.

What is new in this release:

  • For FilePathMBI: Management of the various options available in Preferences has been simplified by moving the Preferences pane out of System Preferences and into the menu bar application itself. This simplifies both installation and access of preferences for FilePathMBI. (Note: FilePathCM, the contextual menu, and FilePathService, the service, still require the system preference pane if you choose to use them rather than FilePathMBI).
  • For the "Copy All Folders" menu item: it's functionality is no longer conditioned on the option to include POSIX paths in the menu.
  • Changed the app icons to support sizes above 128

Limitations:

10-day, fully functional trial
