FidoCadJ

FidoCadJ is an open source softwre designed to act as a very easy to use editor for electrical footprints and symbols.

You can use FidoCadJ for drawing electronic schematics as well as small PCBs. Drawings can be exported in numerous graphic formats, such as PDF, PGF, EPS for LaTeX, SVG, PNG, or JPG.

FidoCadJ is a cross-platform, tested on the Linux, Mac OS X, and Windows operating systems.

What is new in this release:

• This release has some bugfixes and a few new features and improvements to the user interface.
• Vertices can now be added and deleted from a polygon and a spline curve.
• A Dutch translation of the user interface and a Chinese translation of the user manual have been added.

What is new in version 0.24:

• This version adds the new "curve" primitive (natural cubic spline).
• It adds support for italic text lines.
• There are Spanish and Chinese translations of the user interface.
• The IHRaM library has been updated to v. 3.1.
• There are many bugfixes.

What is new in version 0.23.7:

• This is a much more stable version for all operating systems.
• Many bugs have been fixed.
• There is a greatly improved look on Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard.

What is new in version 0.23.4:

• There are many bugfixes.
• The IHRaM library has been updated to 3.0.
• This release is a little faster on some platforms.
• The character encoding is now UTF-8 on all platforms.

What is new in version 0.23.3:

• Several bugs were fixed. Some details are more configurable, such as line widths and connection sizes. Layer transparency was added, which is useful for PCBs. Some command line options were added for batch converting files
