Quill works just like any other rich text editor out there, high-jacking a normal form's textarea element and adding a text formatting toolbar on top.
This lets users format the text using the controls on the toolbar, and then saving the content to HTML when the form is submitted.
The editor supports themes and can also be extended via various modules. On top of this, the controls displayed on the toolbar are all customizable, and can get turned on or off based on the formatting options the developer wants his users to have.
All modern Web browsers are supported, along with a well documented API which developers can use to customize and extend the Quill editor.
