SQLite Database Browser is a multi-platform, open-source and completely free software project that has been designed from the ground up to allow anyone to access, browse, create and edit SQL database tables in a shortest time as possible.

Key features include the ability to create and shrink database files, create, define, modify and delete database tables, create, define and delete indexes, navigate, add, modify and delete database records, as well as to examine a log that include all the SQL commands issued by the application.

In addition, the application allows you to search database records, import and export records as text, tables from or to CSV files, and databases from or to SQL dump files. Additionally, it is possible to execute SQL queries, as well as to investigate the results of these commands.

Easy to use and modern graphical user interface

All the important functions of the program are displayed on the main window of the program, which comprises of an area with four tabs for accessing database structures and creating, modifying or deleting tables, browsing data, editing pragmas and executing SQL commands, as well as a plot area and a SQL log.

The application is written entirely in the C++ programming language and uses a graphical user interface that is designed in the cross-platform Qt GUI toolkit, which means that the program supports GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.

On Linux, the application is available for download only as a source archive, which means that the user is forced to configure and compile it prior to installation. Therefore, it is best to install SQLite Database Browser directly from the default software repositories of your Linux distribution.
