Milestone Reminder

Utility to manage and organize family's, friend's and associate's birthdays. Seamlessly integrates with Address Book and iCal. Current features include:

• Integration with Apple's Address Book. A person's information is obtained from your Address Book.
• Ability to add and/or update a person's date-of-birth.
• Gradual highlighting for approaching birthdays.
• Intelligent exporting of birthdays to iCal. However, you do not have to export to iCal to see whose birthdays are approaching.
  • If you add/update a person's information, existing events in iCal will be updated to reflect those changes on your next export.
  • Ability to move events into other iCal calendars.

• Version 2.0.2 fixes an export issue in Tiger (10.5.X). All day events would show up one day later than expected.
• Renamed the application to Milestone Reminder since it now supports all dates in your Address Book.
• Support for Leopard and Tiger.
• Support for all dates in your Address Book.
  • Dates are color coded into Date Type groups. Date Types are based on the label assigned to the date in your Address Book. Multiple Address Book labels can be associated with a Date Type.
  • You can change the image associated with a Date Type grouping.
  • The Manage Date Types... window is now finished.
  • The Reminder Table is filterable by Date Type.
  • Customizable substitution rule (%s) associated with the date labels from your Address Book.
• Fixed an unregistered export limitation issue if the calendar is deleted manually. Unregistered versions only allow the exporting of 10 events. If the calendar used for the initial export is manually deleted, Birthday Reminder would not allow you to export any more events.
• Added a popup menu to the Reminder Table.
• Added new replacement rules to the 'Export to iCal...' window in the Entry tab.
  • '%c' - Replaced with the date label in your Address Book's card.
  • '%N' - Replaced with the name (%f %l) on the Address Book card.
  • '%s' - User defined replacement rule from the "Manage Date Types..." window.
• Added a new set of icons for various date types in version 2.0.1. In additional to the existing circular date type icons, I have included a some icons developed by Mark James. http://www.famfamfam.com/lab/icons/silk/ The icons are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License.
• Fixes the AppleScript export error "[-30720] Invalid date and time ".
• Many other miscellaneous changes.
