Thelia

Thelia is a relatively new shopping platform, developed on top of new technologies like HTML5, CSS3, Symfony, Bootstrap, and Smarty.

The system is easy to deploy thanks to the installation wizard it comes with, and can easily be managed thanks to the high-end administration panel that accompanies it as well.

Webmasters can configure everything they want in their store, from how it looks on the frontend, to how data is managed and recorded on the backend.

There are options for managing orders, customers, shipping details, prices, images, the admin users, and of course, the product catalog itself.

Thelia can be deployed for any type of store, may it be a mom and pop shop, or as a full-on international e-business store.

The platform supports multi-currency and multi-lingual setups, and also comes with a built-in translation utility for extending it even to other languages as well.

Thelia can also be extended via themes and modules, the default package coming with a beautiful frontend skin that can be used out of the box and produce quite good looking, professional-looking shops.

All in all the Thelia system is not as complete as Prestashop or Magento, but it's on its way and should be a pretty good alternative if you're looking for a newer platform.
