SlimBlog

SlimBlog was built using technologies like the Slim framework, Eloquent (Laravel's built-in ORM), Twig and Bootstrap.

It is a very minimal blogging engine, concerned only with letting users write their posts and immediately publishing it online.

SlimBlog is not currently concerned with support advanced features like plugins, widgets, static pages or multi-site installations, being ideal for small to medium blogs where content is more important than looks or functionality.

SlimBlog can be a little difficult to install if not familiar with some MySQL, PHP and Composer working habits, but step by step installation instructions are included within the README file.

One important SlimBlog benefit is that because of its Bootstrap user interface, it can easily be used from mobile devices, being extremely quick when it comes to loading, mainly thanks to its minimal admin interface.

All in all SimpleBlog is a good alternative if wanting a blog just for putting your thoughts online, without all the visual clutter that WordPress or other solutions bring.
