It uses the Mercurial SCM as a backend, storing post and page content in it.

All the content is written using any text editor and reStructuredText with some custom directives.

What is new in version 0.7:

  • Added label support for :attachment: roles.
  • Added author name and email to the metadata API. Useful for show the author of each post in metadata.
  • The production setup now uses to the default branch instead of the tip revision. Useful for people who want to setup a branch for drafts. Just commit your drafts to a separated branch and merge them in default when done.

What is new in version 0.6.1:

  • This is a bugfix release. blohg 0.6 introduced a bug in the attachments support, that's now fixed.

What is new in version 0.5.1:

  • The source files of the posts were being indexed by search engines. This new version will generate a robots.txt file to avoid this.

What is new in version 0.5:

  • YouTube directive now uses the Youtube iframe api, instead of the flask embed tag directly.
  • Added a new directive sourcecode, to do syntax highlight with Pygments.
  • Added a new directive subpages, to create a list of links for subpages automatically.

Limitations:

  • blohg doesn't have a nice control panel nor WYSIWIG editors.
