Semtex was coded on top of the jQuery framework and was created to serve as a bootstrap (starter kit) for Web-based projects.
The framework contains a set of UI components which can be deployed and assembled into nice-looking user interfaces, helping developers build anything they want, from small one-page sites, to portals, admin panels, and so on.
Besides the UI components there are also lots of utilities for manipulating user data under the hood, from JSON manipulation, to cookie management, and up to local data storage.
