Amarok Reader is an open source script for the Amarok media player application, designed to allow users to view and read text or HTML files found in the playing directory.
Optionally, the script can also display web reviews for the currently playing album. It is actually a port of the conTEXT script for Amarok 1.4, to version 2.0 of the popular media player, created by the same author.
What is new in this release:

- now opens a separate window
- minor UI improvements:
- use mouse wheel on header bar to switch between files
- slightly prettier design, added some hover effects, colored feedback in search menu,...
- problems with special characters in directory names probably fixed
- major overhaul of site searches
- added amazon.com
- Removed features:
- currently no configuration options except "Autostart"
- removed punkbands.com, it is dead
