Description

Tile Photos FX allows you to slice your images into smaller pieces of various shapes.

- Make your own puzzle from any image.
- Slice images into rectangular, triangular, diamond, brick-layout shapes and puzzle.
- Split huge photos or posters and print them in the original size even on your home printer.
- Print sliced images with dotted cutting lines and cut them by hand.
- Make and print bookmarks for a book with simple stripes.
- Decorate your envelopes with the triangles.

Tile Photos FX simplifies the process of slicing your images and helps to incorporate slices into web pages, Keynote presentations, Pages documents and other projects. Slicing is also particularly useful for webpage layouts that include such elements as buttons, logos, menu elements and other objects. Pieces of a large picture incorporated into a website load much faster than the whole image.

Tile Photos FX will help you to split huge photos, posters, charts or maps into several slices and print them in the original size even on your home printer. Advertisers, designers and photographers will highly appreciate the possibility to print individual slices of a huge photo or poster.

The application also provides an additional option to print sliced pictures with dotted lines, so you could cut them by hand. Manually sliced pictures provide some great material for photo collages and other graphic work on paper or canvas.

Very Limited

PDF is not a supported format. As far as I can tell, there is no batch processing. It is not hard to convert one-page PDFs to a supported image format, but dragging and dropping multiple supported images does not work. Strictly one at a time. Too limited for me.

P.S. I’ve tried to use it for several days now. It is aggravating that preferences cannot be saved and must be set each time the app is run. Who on earth assumed that most people would be happy with the default of diamonds?

Too restrictive...

It will split a photo, BUT it forces you to split by a series of predetermined split proportions! I need to be able to set the size of the split pieces in pixels. If not that, then it should be able to split a photo into pieces of the correct size such that each piece can be individually printed on photo paper of the size the USER wants (4x6, 5x7, 8x10, etc.). Seems like it wouldn't be that hard, computers do math pretty well…

The app is not much use to me until they add that. If they do, I'll come back and change my rating to 5 stars!

It does what it promises, but I wish it promised more

The app does everything it claims to: it will split an image into equally sized polygons. The app is straightforward, stable, and fast. I would love to be able to adjust the grid manually to create irregular slices, but that’s a feature request – not a complaint.
