The Makona Editor was coded on top of Facebook's React JavaScript framework and uses "blocks" as editable elements.
Users can edit or remove existing page content blocks, or they can add their own by pressing the "+" icon.
Various content blocks are supported out of the box, like text zones, images, screencasts, code blocks, static documents, and HTML-formatted sections.
Blocks can also be moved up or done the page using drag & drop, and when everything is ready for publishing, Makona provides an easy to store JSON file with all the page's edited content inside it.
All of these cover most basics when creating or editing a Web page and Makona should provide a simpler, more easy to use page editor compared to classic, limited WYSIWYG editors.
A demo page is included with the Makona download package.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
