WP-PostViews can work in many ways. It can add a counter on each page or post showing how many times it's been loaded and viewed.
It can record the stats, aggregating and classifying the data, using it to show the most popular pages and posts via a sidebar widget.
Or it can be used internally by admins only to analyze content and detect areas and domains of incoming traffic.
A settings page is included with WP-PostViews, where admins can customize and set filters in place, deciding what activity gets recorded and what types of pages.
Installation:
Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
