The Web Server Gateway Interface is a low-level interface between Web servers and Web applications/frameworks for the Python programming language.
This unofficial and so-called "standard" for writing Web applications was created to promote common tools for supporting portable Web applications that work regardless of the server technology they run on.
By implementing a WSGI friendly interface via its Python LSAPI module, the LiteSpeed server will be able to run Python applications at its full range of features, taking full advantage of its advanced optimizations and speed improvements that have recommended it over similar server solutions.
And as a bonus, the Python LSAPI module also fully supports a suEXEC mode, allowing it to be used in shared hosting environments as well.
Other official LiteSpeed server API implementations are also available for:
PHP
Ruby
