Bitnami SiteCake Module is a free and cross-platform software product, a module that can be used on top of a Bitnami LAMP installation, specifically designed for the SiteCake CMS software. It is compatible with all mainstream operating systems and supports both 32-bit and 64-bit hardware platforms.
What is SiteCake?
SiteCake is an open source, web-based and lightweight Content Management System (CMS) application that can be used for fast editing of web documents. It features support for drag and drop, as well as other attractive functionality.
Installing Bitnami SiteCake Module
Both the Bitnami SiteCake Stack and Bitnami SiteCake Module applications are cross-platform, supporting all GNU/Linux distributions, as well as the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. To install it on your machine, download the file the corresponds to your PC’s hardware architecture, run it and follow the on-screen instructions.
Run SiteCake on the cloud or virtualize it
In addition to install the SiteCake app on your personal computer, either by using the standalone stack or the LAMP module, you can also deploy it on the cloud, simply by using Bitnami’s cloud images for Amazon EC2 and Windows Azure cloud hosting providers. Furthermore, it is possible to virtualize SiteCake, using Bitnami’s virtual machine images powered by the latest LTS version of Ubuntu Linux and designed for the Oracle VirtualBox and VMware ESX/ESXi virtualization software.
The Bitnami SiteCake Stack
Besides the Bitnami SiteCake Module product reviewed here, Bitnami offers an all-in-one solution for deploying the SiteCake application, as well as all of its runtime dependencies, on a desktop computer or laptop, without having to know anything about how to install a database, web server, or any other web technology. The Bitnami SiteCake Stack can be downloaded from Softoware free of charge and supports all the Linux kernel-based operating systems.
