Bitnami OSClass Module is a freely distributed and multi-platform software project, a module that can be used on top of a Bitnami LAMP installation, specially designed for the OSClass software. Bitnami also offers a stack, a virtual appliance, cloud images, as well as a Docker container for OSClass.
What is OSClass?
OSClass is a free and open source web-based application that allows users to easily create a classifieds website without any technical knowledge. It is a platform-independent application that allowing users to effortlessly create websites for real estate ads, car classifieds, job listings or rentals.
Installing Bitnami OSClass Module
To install OSClass on top of your existing Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) stack, you will have to first download the package that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), then make it executable, double-click it and follow the instructions displayed on the screen. Supported operating systems include GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X.
Virtualize OSClass or run it on the cloud
Thanks to Bitnami, users will also be able to run OSClass on the cloud with their hosting platform or by using a pre-built cloud image for the Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers. Virtual appliances for OSClass are also available for download on the project’s homepage, based on the latest LTS (Long Term Support) version of Ubuntu Linux and designed to run on the Oracle VirtualBox and VMware ESX/ESXi virtualization software.
The Bitnami OSClass Stack
Besides the Bitnami OSClass Module product reviewed here, Bitnami also provides an all-in-one solution called Bitnami OSClass Stack, which has been designed from the offset to greatly simplify the installation and hosting of the OSClass application on a desktop computer or laptop.
