jquery.mb.YTPlayer works with the YouTube Chromeless player, allowing developers to build their very own custom YouTube players, in this case, one that functions in the backdrop of the entire page.
When the plugin was released first, the concept was quite unique and ground-breaking, and only in recent years though the modernization of the HTML5 video component have developers been presented with a solid alternative to jquery.mb.YTPlayer.
The plugin basically lets developers build a customized YouTube video player, and using this knowledge you can also utilize it for building custom "standalone" YouTube video players, not just players that use a page element's background to play back videos.
jquery.mb.YTPlayer comes with support for all the original YouTube player controls, playlists, and various file formats.
