bg5video allows webmasters to play a video on their site's background, without interfering or being overlaid on top of the page's content.
Videos can be shown in the page's body tag, or inside smaller DIVs, for specific sections.
Responsive layouts are supported, bg5video automatically resizing and refitting the video inside smaller boxes whenever a page resize occurs, or when the user accesses the page from a mobile device, smart TV, or tablet.
There's built-in support for automatically starting the video when the page loads, showing volume controls, video timeline progress bars, and even adding a pause/resume button in case you want to let users decide when to let the movie run.
bg5video also supports Apple's HLS (HTTP Live Streaming), letting you stream video content in real-time.
Different videos can be shown in different page sections at the same time, and developers can also force the video's aspect ratio to conserve when resized.
Examples and usage instructions are included with the bg5video download package.
