X-rayHTML works the following way. The developer adds a block of code to the page and passes it to the plugin. X-rayHTML will create a container where the code is executed and the results are displayed. Along with the final result, a "view source" button is added as well, which when pushed reveals the code that rendered the result.
As you can tell, X-rayHTML can be really useful for coding tutorials and documentation sites, allowing developers to easily embed code previews on their sites without having to create specialized, separate demo pages.
X-rayHTML is also better compared to the native way of embedding code previews since it works with one single code block instead of two (the preview and the < pre > code block itself).
This makes the code a whole lot easier to maintain and update, without having two worry about modifying two separate code blocks every time.
X-rayHTML can also highlight source code via Prism, display the source/demo panels using a flip animation, and also add the possibility of copying the code to the OS clipboard via ZeroClipboard.
A demo is included with the download package.
