By default, using the <input type="range"> tag adds a simple input slider that can be adjusted via mouse drag and drop actions, or via the keyboard left-right keys.
This element is specific to the new HTML 5 standard, and so is not supported by all browsers.
rangeslider.js can be used to recreate this element on older browser, acting like a classic polyfill (shim, shiv).
Besides this, rangeslider.js works with mobile and other touchscreen enabled devices, and also includes support for responsive layouts, resizing and recalculating inputted values.
A demo is included with the download package.
