Adam Kaplan's Grid is a lightweight grid system created to allow developers to code page templates that render properly on all kind of devices, regardless of their screen size.
While in the ancient days of the Internet only desktops were used to browse websites, in today's Web, websites are accessed via mobile phones, all kinds of devices, and even smart TVs.
Because of this, content needs to render properly on a variety of screen sizes and the only way to ensure a website does this is by arranging its content on a responsive grid.
The Grid CSS framework allows developers to create such grid-based layouts, pages where content is shuffled from one column to the next, while columns are added or removed based on the screen size.
You can read more about Grid usage instructions in its README file.
