JGoogle TTS is a text-to-speech (TTS) reader adapted from the server page code of translate.google.com. It is 100% free open-source, no ads or anything else ever. Right now, it is simple, but it works well.

It currently does require that the entire bit of text is fetched from the Google server. This will be fixed eventually. It is also known to not always pause naturally. Keep in mind this program is a toy compared to PleaseRead.

Google's code was made for the purpose of pronouncing translated words. The goal of this project is to have it read out words in as many languages as possible and to have all text play smoothly. JGoogle TTS accepts unlimited characters (where Google allows only 100). Currently, it buffers the whole script causing some latency, but later, you can use the MP3 files to replay it in your preferred player.
