Rux is a classic static site compiler that removes all the fluff and extra features most static site generators have, leaving in place only a simple Markdown to HTML compiler, fast and easy to use.
There are no categories, no tags, no RSS feeds, no widgets, no sidebars. Just the content and a few features for easier reading. That's it. That's Rux.
Currently the Rux site compiler supports classic static site layouts, and also comes with special support for blogs as well.
On top of this, Rux can also be automated to run automatically at desired time intervals as a daemon, taking new content added as Markdown files and adding them to the live site.
If the content is important, this feature can be overridden via a manual update triggered via the console.
