Unlike many other static site compilers, Assemble can be used for more than just simple websites.

Assemble was used in production environments to produce widgets, components, documentation, GitHub pages, blogs, and many other more.

Companies and projects like HTML5 Boilerplate, Less.js, Effeckt, Topcoat, Web Experience Toolkit, or Zurb have used it for many of their projects and adjacent tools.

This is possible because of Assemble's structure. Instead of coming as a single block of code, Assemble is broken down into smaller component parts, which developers can load and use accordingly to their projects.

Because of this, Assemble can be used for more than just big bulky websites. Small pieces of code needed to generate a single widget, tiny Web components, or plugins for existing projects can be generated the same way.
