Policy Daemon is an open source project specifically designed as an anti-spam filter plugin for Postfix, a totally free mail transfer agent (MTA).

Policy Daemon features greylisting, recipient rate limiting, sender-(SASL, host / ip, or envelope)-based throttling, spamtrap monitoring  and blacklisting, HELO auto blacklisting, as well as HELO randomization prevention.

The plugin is designed for large scale mail hosting environments, aiming to implement as many email compliance and spam combating functionality as possible.

Policy Daemon will offer the stability, performance and portability required for today's mission critical email hosting services.
