PicoFeed

PicoFeed provides a simple way to read the content of an RSS feed, filter the data, extract what's needed, and then use the parsed data in live PHP-based applications.

This small utility is extremely useful since it provides the raw tools to work with various syndication feed formats, all from the same codebase.

The library is well documented and should be pretty easy to use and add to any new or existing PHP project.
