Bug Fixes:
- Fixed issue that passwords are stored in clear text format.
- Fixed issue that missing authentication for critical functions. Affected functions include clearing the log file, or start/stop a packet capture.
- Fixed issue that authentication bypass for in some cases. When session check fails by PHP script "downloadFile.php", contents of the device configuration/log files may be allowed to download without authentication.
- Fixed issue that it’s unable to set shared Key as network authentication and passphrase other than alphabets are not allowed.
- Fixed issue that reset password is not taking effect if some special characters are used.
- Multicast rate is set to 48 Mbps.
Known Issues:
- Sometimes when neighbor APs available nearby are more than 64 then AP won’t scan neighbor APs.
- The data traffic over WDS will not happen with WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK authentication when “Enable Client association” option is disabled.
- All the tabs are visible for only 2 seconds when you login to AP UI first time instead of showing change password only in IE11.
- When upgrading from previous firmware to this firmware will take around 6minutes for upgrade complete as the clear text password and passphrase keys will be encrypted which takes time for the first time only.
About Access Points:
If you update the Access Point (AP) firmware, your device can benefit from changes that fix multiple issues encountered by wireless clients, correct different user interface problems, add various functionalities, and include support for newly developed protocols.
Before performing this task, we recommend that you read and understand all the installation steps, because there are many AP models and manufacturers available. Each producer strives to make the procedure as simple as possible, but there are cases when it’s anything but that.
It is also advisable that you apply a new access point firmware in a steady power environment (UPS unit will satisfy this need), using an Ethernet cable rather than a wireless connection. The latter can be easily interrupted.
