Net.Rummy

Net.Rummy is a completely free and cross-platform graphical software implemented in C/C++ and designed from the ground up to act as a Rummy-based board game playable by 4 players at once over the Internet.

The game has been engineered in such a way that it can also be played solo using robots (AI - Artificial Intelligence) or against humans, through the integrated multiplayer mode. The variant of the Rummy game provided by this application can also be played over the Internet using multiple clients.

Getting started with Net.Rummy

Net.Rummy is available for download only as a native installer for 32-bit (x86) installations of the Ubuntu or Debian GNU/Linux distributions, or any other derivative like Linux Mint. No other file is available for download for Linux systems, which means that if you run a distribution of Linux that doesn’t uses the DEB package manager or it runs in 64-bit mode, you won’t be able to use this game.

Once installed, you will be able to launch the game from the main menu of your desktop environment. The game will open and you’ll be able to choose between a 4 rounds game, a 10 rounds game, a 500 points game or a 1000 points game.

Under the hood and supported operating system

Taking a look under the hood of the Net.Rummy application, which is quite hard as it’s not an open source software, we can notice that it has been written entirely in the C and C++ programming languages.

Net.Rummy is a multiplatform game. It has been successfully tested on a wide range of GNU/Linux distributions, as well as on the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, supporting 64-bit and 32-bit architectures. The game also runs on the iOS and Android mobile operating systems.
