CardDavMATE is an open source, web-based and cross-browser application designed to act as a CardDAV client, supported on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Epiphany, Opera, iCab, Safari/Mobile Safari, and Opera web browsers.
CardDavMATE is written 100% in jQuery and JavaScript, and it does not require any special server software for a standard setup, except for the CardDAV server, of course.
The application features a server-based XML configuration generator, asynchronous read/write and read-only addressbook collection detection, asynchronous background synchronization, support for RFC compliant vCards, support for Apple vCard groups, and drag & drop support for contact "add contact into vcard group" and move operations.
CardDavMATE is 100% compliant with the Apple vCard format, and features a clean graphical user interface (GUI) with SVG graphics.
What is new in this release:
- note: do not forget to execute the cache_update.sh script every time you update your configuration or any other file (otherwise your browser will use the previous version of files stored in HTML5 cache); alternatively you can update the cache.manifest manually edit the second line beginning with "#V 20" to anything else (this file simple needs "some" change)
