AMDclean will take the developer's JavaScript code written following the well-known AMD guidelines, parse it, and then transform it to the pure, official version of the JavaScript syntax.

The library can be used as a Node module or as an in-browser JavaScript library, allowing developers to convert code from AMD to vanilla JS at runtime.

AMDclean can be used with any library or application structure, being ideal for integrating with automated build processors, allowing developers to write their code in AMD JavaScript and have it converted to standards-compliant JavaScript with every new project build.

Grunt, Gulp, and other JS-based build systems are supported, but using it as a client-side library is as efficient. Just check the Web app included with the download package, allowing users to copy-paste their AMD code, have it automatically converted to normal JS, and then copy-paste it back into their files.

The purpose behind such a library is to free developers from the constraints of client-side JavaScript, allowing them to write modular JS code using more modern AMD and CommonJS philosophies, and then have access to this code in client-side environments.

This makes writing JavaScript code a more pleasant task, allowing developers to utilize the advances made in JavaScript programming through its more modern server-side development community.

What is new in this release:

  • New config option, updated prefixTransform, and fixed regression bug.

Requirements:

  • JavaScript enabled on client side
  • Node.js 0.8 or higher for server-side environments
