Getmac is a small command line program that returns only the value of the true Physical Network Address or MAC Address. Simular to getmac for XP Pro and above. Runs under Windows XP and previous versions of Windows from the command line. There seemed to be a demand for a program like this in the programming community, but no one bothered to write one. The code was tweaked several times over a few days to arrive at a reliable Physical Address. In the case of multi network adapters the program makes no determination of active adpaters and retrieves the MAC of the physical media card first. This program is Spoof Proof. MAC spoofers will not fool this application.
What is new in this release:
Version 2.0 incorporated switch capability. Now has optional txt file output switch and command line help. When used, outputs the value of mac$ to an easily read txt file.
