AllPicturez is a specialized news reader for Windows 95, 98 and Me that focuses on picture newsgroups. It filters text and spam from usenet postings and presents only the pictures in an easy-to-use interface. The software offers thumbnail support, zoom, and other basic image editing features. It supports common file formats such as JPEG, GIF, Base64 and UUdecode as well as queued downloads and server authentication.
It now allows a list of news server addresses so you can change a news server more quickly. Also, you can now drag the picture around if the picture doesn't fit the picture view, and you can now determine the size of the thumbnails or switch them off. The new version has additional small improvements based on user suggestions.
What is new in this release:
- Besides adding many small user-suggested features, the new version now supports multiple news server addresses and customized thumbnail sizes
- AllPicturez is much faster now, uses less memory and improves the picture handling
