This is the driver for the "Orinoco" card from Lucent, supported by the Mac.

What is new in this release:

  • Support has been restored for PowerPC PowerBook 1400 and 5300 models. There is still one Known Issue for these older systems. Please see the section 6 for details.
  • Support has been added to properly handle a new form of closed network which some base stations now use. These networks respond to scans with a blank name. Previously, closed networks did not respond at all.
  • Sleep stability has been improved on all systems.
  • Improved the behavior of the control strip when cards are removed and inserted.
  • Fix a system hang seen if a user notification message (like in response to trying to eject a busy card, for example) is displayed when a previous such message had not been dismissed by the user.
