PDFKit can be used to create multi-page, printable, complex PDF files, without the aid of a desktop software, just from pure JavaScript code.
By default, it comes written in pure CoffeeScript, but the API is written in standard JavaScript.
Currently it can generate and manipulate this PDF content:
Vector graphics
SVG paths
Text
Text alignments
Bullet lists
JPEG images
PNG images
Links
Notes
Highlights
Underlines
Font embedding (TrueType, TrueType Collections, Datafork TrueType)
What is new in this release:
- Support for new image valign option. It works like the align option but vertically inside the fit area.
- Support for using ArrayBuffers and Uint8Arrays for loading fonts in the browser.
What is new in version 0.6.2:
- Fixes dependencies for browser demo (brfs broke something in a new version).
- Support base64 images - useful in the browser.
- Improves underlines for small font sizes.
Requirements:
- Node.js 0.6 or higher
