qtmib is an open source, free and easy-to-use SNMP MIB browser implemented in C++/Qt and designed from the offset as a front-end to the net-snmp package, which is available in several distributions of Linux.

Features at a glance

qtmib allows users to query any SNMP-enabled device, an easy-to-use graphical user interface, support for SNMPv2c and SNMPv1 protocols, as well as a large number of built-in MIBs. In addition, the application also features OID and MIB translation, user MIBs, network discovery, and reports for interface, system, routing table, process, connections, and software.

Supports a wide range of devices

Currently, the program supports a wide range of devices, among which we can mention Airespace Wireless Controllers, AOS, L3, Timetra, Allied Hubs, AT-8000 Switches, UPS, Aruba Wireless Controllers, Asante Hubs, AP222x, BayStack Hub, Business Ethernet switch, Centillion, Ethernet Routing switch, Ethernet Routing Switch/Passport 1600, Ethernet Routing Switch/Passport/Accelar LAN, as well as Ethernet Switch/Baystack switch.

Additionally, the many devices from the Multiprotocol Router/BayRS, Secure Router, Synoptics, Virtual Services Platform (VSP) 7000, Virtual Services Platform (VSP) 9000, VPN Router/Contivity, Wireless Security Switches 2300, Wireless Switch 2270, BlueCoat SG, EdgeIron, FastIron, FastIron CX (ICX), FastIron LS (FLS), FastIron WorkGroup Switch (FWS), ServerIron GT, Aironet, Altiga, AS5000, and Catalyst Blade Switch 3xxx families are also supported.

Under the hood, supported operating systems and availability

qtmib is a multiplatform application written entirely in the C++ programming language and using the Qt GUI toolkit for its graphical user interface. It has been tested with a wide range of GNU/Linux operating systems.

The software is distributed as a universal sources archive, as well as native installers in the DEB and RPM file formats for 64-bit Ubuntu/Debian and Fedora/Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating systems. To install the application on 32-bit systems, use the source tarball.
