Nagstamon is an open source, multiplatform and freely distributed graphical software implemented in Python and designed from the offset as a status monitor for the powerful and highly acclaimed Nagios monitoring system.

Easy-to-use and intuitive graphical user interface

The software displays a brief summary of critical, unknown, warning, unreachable and down hosts and services through a small, easy-to-use, and intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) designed in the GTK+ toolkit.

The GUI features tab-based navigation for its settings, allowing users to easily cycle between Server, Display, Filter, and Executable sections. While the Server section allows you to change settings related to your Nagios server, such as URL, CGI URL, username, password, proxy, and update interval in minutes, from the Display section you can change the appearance of the interface.

Allows users to add numerous filters

Numerous filters can be added from the Filters section, such as to filter out all down hosts, all unreachable hosts, all critical services, all unknown services, all warning services, acknowledged hosts and services, hosts and services with disabled notifications, hosts and services with disabled checks, hosts and services down for maintenance.

Tested with a wide range of products

The application has been successfully tested with a wide range of products, among which we can mention Nagios 1.x, 2.x and 3.x, Icinga 1.2 or later, Opsview 3.5 or later, Centreon 2.1.x, Op5 Monitor 5.x - 6.0.x, Check_MK/Multisite 1.1.10 or later, as well as Thruk 1.5.0 or later.

Runs on GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X

Nagstamon is a cross-platform application that supports GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. It is independent of a desktop environment, successfully tested on KDE, MATE, Cinnamon, Xfce, and GNOME, despite the fact that its graphical user interface is designed in GTK+.
