BuddyPress is just great for building a company's Intranet, school student systems, online collaborators, sports teams or niche communities based on the power and flexibility of WordPress.

BuddyPress will let users register and start creating and sharing content with their friends.

Users can put up public profiles, create groups, join groups, post messages on their profile pages, post messages inside group pages, follow other users, etc..

BuddyPress comes with a comprehensive settings panel which lets webmasters choose what interactivity features to provide, and also comes with a set of useful sidebar widgets.

Additionally, the WordPress repository also comes with plenty of pure BuddyPress-dedicated plugins for easily enhancing default functionality.

Unpack and upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress.
