jQuery.hoverOnTouch

jQuery.hoverOnTouch provides a way to display hover effects on devices controlled via a touchscreen like smartphones and tablets.

The plugin works by adding a temporary CSS class to the element that's being touched, quickly removed when the touch event is dispatched.

While this might be useless on actual links where new content is loaded without giving the user a chance to notice the hover effect, jQuery.hoverOnTouch can be used with other types of content nevertheless.

A demo is included with the plugin's download package.
