Excel2TXF

Mac user? Linux user? OpenOffice user? Don't have at least Excel 2000? This program has all of the same functionality as our poppular Excel2TXF macro, but doesn't require Excel or even a PC. Excel2TXF - Java is a stand-alone Java executable, so it should run on any platform. All you need is java loaded on your system, which is a free download from Sun Microsystems.

This handy little utility will convert your capital gains transactions from an Excel file (which most brokers offer for download) to a TXF file, which you can import directly TurboTax and H&R Block At Home. This utility works with data from most brokers such as Etrade, Fidelity, Interactive Brokers, OptionsXpress, and many, many others.

The software includes options to match up individual buy and sell trades for brokers that don't provide a gain/loss download, options to consolidate trading activity for active traders to get under the import limits (both TurboTax and H&R Block limit the number of imported trades), and an option to add wash sale adjustments.

What is new in this release:

Version 3.30 adds additional functionality, support for 2012 tax software changes, and support for additional brokers.
