Amor MD2 project is a fun program to display Quake2 characters on your desktop.
amorMD2, "Amusing Misuse of Resources - MD2" reads Quake 2 character files and makes them dance around your desktop for your amusement.
It will run on any Posix system which has KDE/Qt installed (i.e., most Linux distros, BSDs, etc).
I had been working on an MD2 loader class for my game, and I figured it would be a good idea to adapt it to amor, a KDE toy.
After all, there are nearly 400 downloadable, free Quake 2 characters.
Better to put them to some use than let them age and deteriorate as their only supporting game slowly becomes obsolete ;)

What's New in This Release:
· Updated the code and autoconf/automake to work with KDE/QT 3.2 (had to get rid of the popup messages -- didn't want to deal with porting them. Everything else should work fine.)
· Updated build system so that it should work on Debian and other non-RedHat systems. (IE, with KDE in different locations. Use the '--prefix' flag to ./configure).
