bgiframe is not actually usable anymore since IE6 has almost been completely phased out.
But if there's a stiff client that doesn't understand that YouTube doesn't support IE8 anymore and he shouldn't support IE6 at all, this plugin is for that scenario.
bgiframe works as described above, scanning for z-indexed elements and replacing them with an iframe tag, but only in IE6 browsers.
Other, more modern browsers, are left alone to deal with x-index in their own way.
What is new in this release:
- Fixed visual test (test.html).
- Small optimization to only check for IE once.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- jQuery 1.2.6 or higher
Limitations:
- This plugin has been reported to cause performance problems when used on elements that change properties (like width, height and opacity).
