jQuery My Instagram Gallery works via the Instagram API and allows developers to fetch recent photos from a desired account.
Any account can be used, not only the one attached to the API credentials, and this can be done by the Instagram user's ID.
Once everything up and running the correct way, the plugin will pull the following details:
- Instagram avatar
- Instagram username
- Real profile name
- Short bio
- Website URL
- Number of posts
- Number of followers
- Numbers of people following
And, of course, the most recent, 20 being the default setting. To retrieve more, just push the "More" button at the bottom of the gallery.
Additionally, clicking a photo thumbnail will expand it using a modal window, showing the photo at its natural resolution, along with its description as the modal's caption field.
To help developers get started, a jQuery My Instagram Gallery demo is included.
