IMAGIN

IMAGIN started out as a Flash and XML image gallery that evolved into a PHP and Haxe alternative to reflect the current state of Flash's development (dead).

IMAGIN works by reading a specific folder for static pages, themes, plugins and the photos themselves.

If the photo folder contains other directories, these will automatically become IMAGIN's galleries (categories).

IMAGIN can handle an unlimited number of galleries and photos per gallery at the same time, and is easily customizable via CSS-based themes.

This is ideal for quickly deploying a portfolio website, without having to deal with complex admin panels.

Installation:

Unpack the downloaded archive.
Upload all files to a Web server.
CHMOD 777 for folders that contain photos. This is required for thumbnail generation.
Configure the config.imagin.php file to suit your needs.

What is new in version 3 Beta4:

• Added italian and polish localizations
• Back to swfobject 2.1 stable because of some windows users not seeing the gallery
• With the release of Safari 4 final, the mouse wheel became to move very slowly, this is solved in beta4

• Added localization in 8 languages
• Added "timeline_always_expanded" in _preferences.xml
• Some minor bugs fixed, and updated to swfobject 2.2 beta
• E-mail address from comments is not stored as a valid e-mail
