Kubist takes a regular photo and using a triangle or circle-based algorithm transform the photo into a low-poly mesh, a technique usually used in 3D rendering software.
The result is outputted using SVG graphics, with special controls that allow the user to modify the algorithms data points, ideal for fine-tuning the final image, tweaking shapes and fixing the photo if needed.
Other pre-rendering options include the ability to select the mesh algorithm (triangle or circle), the number of data points to render, the circle and border size between the mesh points.
Adjusting these settings produces different versions of the cubism effect, and allows users to get minimal or more realistic images.
A fully-working version of Kubist is included with the download package, which can work offline, or online if put on one of your servers.
